- Course Name: Digital Competencies for Professional Development
- Course Description: The MOOC "Digital Competencies for Professional Development" aims to empower higher education teachers with the essential digital and professional competencies for the digital era. This course focuses on using digital technologies to enhance educators' communication, collaboration, and professional development, as well as equipping students to use these technologies creatively and responsibly for information, communication, content creation, well-being, and problem-solving.
- This is the third course in a trilogy of MOOCs integrated into the Embrace project, a collaborative initiative aimed at a significant transformation in higher education. The project focuses on addressing pedagogical, digital skills and integrating with the world of work. It is led by Hamk University, Finland, and includes renowned institutions such as:

- Methodology: The MOOC course adopts a self-learning approach, providing varied materials such as videos, texts, and links on Moodle. It encourages practice through activities , promotes interaction in discussion forums, sharing of productions, and automatic assessments. Available in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, the MOOC course stands out for its open and flexible nature, emphasizing students' autonomous participation without direct tutoring.
- Assessment Process: The assessments will be varied, emphasizing the practical application of knowledge. They include practical projects and active participation in forums. Additionally, gamified activities will be incorporated to make the assessment more engaging and stimulate the application of competencies in a playful and interactive way.
